The Program:

The early intervention program is designed for our little superstars who stand out from the crowd! Children with developmental delays and disorders usually present with difficulties which can be drastically minimized once their origin is understood, and appropriate accommodations and training is provided.

The goal of early intervention is to prevent or minimize the physical, cognitive, emotional and resource limitations of young children disadvantaged by biological or environmental risk factors.

Who will it benefit?

The program is designed for children from the ages 2-6 years with developmental delays, Autism, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Disabilities, Learning Disabilities.

Importance of Early intervention:

Research and studies prove that early identification and treatment of at-risk or prevailing developmental delays and disorders has a significantly better outcome than delayed interventions. The importance of early intervention cannot be stressed upon enough for this very reason....

Irrespective of the type of disability or delay, each child has a unique profile of his/her own areas of interests, strengths, weakness and learning patterns. Paired with this are the environmental factors which either prove to be enabling or disabling for a child. The interplay of these two factors can either be detrimental or fruitful based on whether or not intervention is sought at the right time.

It is an established fact that learning in the formative years is exponentially more than in the later stages of life. At Hopping Mind’s, we capitalize on the time we get in the early intervention program and dedicate all our resources to make sure the child’s needs are catered to in a wholistic manner to develop a happy, content, independent and responsible individual!

The success of an early intervention program lies with the stakeholders which involves-the child, therapist/special educator and the parent. It is important for all the three to remain motivated through the journey. To witness lasting positive results, the generalization of learnt skills to other environments should take place. Online therapy sessions offer parents a fantastic opportunity to be in sync with the what’s and how’s of theraputic practices adopted by the therapist, to witness how and when the child needs to be prompted and facilitated to reach the desired goal.
